Untold’s Enchanted Journey: Day 3 of Magic, Music, and Unity in 2023

Over 110,000 fans became part of the magical Untold story on the festival’s third day. Tens of thousands of fans from all around the world eagerly awaited the world’s number one DJ, Dutch sensation Martin Garrix.

For the third consecutive day, the 8th edition of the Untold festival unfolded as a truly memorable experience, embraced with immense joy by the vast gathering of fans from across the globe. These enthusiasts celebrated alongside their beloved artists, immersed in the music, and reveling in the joy of togetherness with friends. Untold creates a world that unfolds for four days and nights, a journey through a carousel of musical genres, smiles, and dancing till dawn.

The Untold mainstage opened its gates for the third festival day, featuring premier live acts as well as exclusive DJ sets. The world’s number one DJ, Martin Garrix, sent waves of euphoria through Cluj Arena. The Dutch maestro’s live set radiated pure energy from the very first beat to the final measure. With specially crafted remixes for the Untold show and brand-new releases, Garrix expressed his gratitude to his Romanian fans. Fueled by an extraordinary passion for music and a deep sense of appreciation for his loyal supporters, Garrix electrified the atmosphere at the Untold mainstage. His set, including hits like “In The Name Of Love,” “Higher Ground,” “Animals,” “Hurricane,” and the festival anthem “High On Life,” created a mesmerizing visual spectacle. The moment transformed Cluj Arena into a unique universe—Untold, The World Capital of Night and Magic!

J’s performance, a beautiful marriage proposal took place right in front of the mainstage. She said “Yes!” and the heartfelt moment was met with applause from the nearby fans.

Adding to the impressive lineup, the artist behind the hit “Unforgettable,” French Montana, aka Frenchy, aka Macaroni with the Cheese, aka Frenchington, graced the Untold mainstage for a high-energy live show. Marking his debut performance, French Montana and his team were enthralled by the Romanian crowd. Tens of thousands at the mainstage sang along to his most well-known tracks, and he even invited two girls from the audience to join him on stage for a twerk session.

Accompanied by a DJ and an MC, French Montana united the arena in dance. “You’ve created a magical atmosphere!” exclaimed Montana, who, at the close of his live show, extended his gratitude to the Untold fans.

For the eighth chapter of the Untold legend, the festival’s third day welcomed another premiere, featuring one of the world’s most innovative artists, Eric Prydz. The Swedish icon is not only a DJ but also a sophisticated producer, known for constructing his live sets and the only artist granted permission by Pink Floyd to sample their monumental success, “Another Brick In The Wall.” Prydz took Untold fans on a journey through the realms of tech and techno sounds.

Making his debut appearance at Untold, Zhu mesmerized the audience with his deep sound and enchanting voice. Every person at the mainstage sang in unison with the American artist, cherishing each song in the live set. From “In The Morning” and “Came For The Low” to the massive hit “Faded” and his latest single “Changes,” each track held a powerful emotional impact for both fans and Zhu himself, who took a moment from the mainstage to salute his devoted followers.

Saturday brought a lineup of premieres to Cluj Arena. The legendary electronic music project, Thievery Corporation, delivered a live show blending elements of trip-hop, dub, lounge, and electronic. “We were amazed by what we discovered at Untold, by the connection we had with the audience here. It’s extraordinary to find a festival that supports artists beyond the mainstream, setting Untold apart from other festivals worldwide. Sometimes, it’s good to take a break from searching for happiness and simply choose to be happy. That’s what we felt tonight on the mainstage,” stated the members of Thievery Corporation.

One of this year’s edition premieres was DJ BLISS, an artist making his first appearance at a European festival. Hailing from Dubai, DJ BLISS is known as the “Middle East’s beat representative” and was impressed by everything Untold embodies: beautiful energy, diverse musical styles across the stages, and the passionate Romanian audience.

B Jones and WizTheMC were part of the mainstage lineup for the festival’s third day. Untold also offered special moments and live performances on its secondary stages.

The iconic underground duo Tale Of Us, along with Priku, Charlie, Woo York (Live), and Mihigh, transformed the Galaxy stage into a universe where space and time faded, leaving only passion and love for techno music.

On the third day of the Untold festival, the Alchemy stage hosted lovers of trap, hip-hop, dubstep, and drum’n’bass, who sang and danced alongside their favorite artists. One of this year’s premieres, DJ and producer Apashe, was amazed by the authentic connection Romanian audiences share with music.

Killa Fonic, Deliric X Silent Strike, Ian, FC DND, Marko Glass ft. BVCOVIA, and OG Eastbull were the artists who took the Alchemy stage.

Two of the world’s greatest DJs, Frenchman David Guetta and Armin van Buuren, headlined the Sunday lineup. The evening’s festivities at the Untold mainstage kicked off with Almud, followed by Vama, FERG, Years & Years, and Fedde Le Grand.
