Starting Thursday, August 8, the city of Cluj-Napoca will host the 9th edition of the UNTOLD festival, bringing together over 250 top national and international artists, along with their teams and tens of thousands of fans from Romania and around the world. For the four days and four nights, organizers and authorities are collaborating to ensure that everyone will be safe at one of the world’s largest events.
THOUSANDS OF M.A.I. EMPLOYEES AND PRIVATE SECURITY AGENTS WILL ENSURE THE SAFETY OF ALL PARTICIPANTS AT THE 9TH EDITION OF UNTOLD, A FESTIVAL RANKED 3RD GLOBALLY
Thousands of employees from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, including the M.A.I. General Directorate of Operational Management, the Romanian Gendarmerie, the Romanian Police, the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations, the National Anti-Drug Agency, the Organized Crime Brigade, and local police forces, will be present throughout the four days of the festival, ensuring that safety measures are followed by all participants at UNTOLD. Additionally, a considerable number of private security agents will help maintain order and peace within the event’s perimeter.
16 PEOPLE METER CAMERAS INSTALLED IN THE STADIUM
For the first time, the organizers will implement a video surveillance system on Cluj Arena to monitor in real-time the number of fans arriving at the Mainstage. To this end, 16 people meter systems will be installed.
All these safety measures were presented today at a press conference where UNTOLD representatives discussed their commitment to making the UNTOLD festival perimeter the safest public place in Romania. The UNTOLD festival team and local authorities are joining forces to create a memorable and safe experience for all participants and fans present in Cluj-Napoca.
THE LARGEST MAIN STAGE IN UNTOLD HISTORY
This year’s production is impressive. It took 380 trucks to bring all the festival logistics. The festival spans an area of 235,000 square meters and expects hundreds of thousands of participants over four days and nights of magic.
Over 13,000 people from more than 20 countries are currently building fantastic worlds and sets at Cluj Arena stadium and its surroundings.
The main stage will feature over 900 square meters of LED screens, 110 meters wide, and 30 meters deep. The stage weighs over 500 tons. The energy used for the main stage comes from renewable sources.
In 2024, UNTOLD, one of the most beautiful music festivals in the world, invites its fans to rediscover and celebrate the authentic connection with human nature. Inspired by the beauty and mystery of Transylvania, UNTOLD 2024 will be more than just a festival—it will be a journey that invites us to reconnect. There will be impressive stages and special music spots, over 70 vendors, a Fashion Village, dozens of partner activations, animators, and dancers parading through the festival, along with many surprises.
UNTOLD ORGANIZERS PREPARE FOR THE 10TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION NEXT YEAR
At the press conference, organizers also discussed preparations for next year’s edition, when UNTOLD will celebrate its 10th anniversary. This special event will bring even more magic, surprises, and memorable moments for all participants.
To mark this special occasion, the creators of UNTOLD will start selling the first passes for the 2025 edition starting this weekend. UNTOLD, one of the largest festivals in the world, is set to make history this year with a memorable edition. The creators of the most beautiful festival experience announced that the 2024 edition of the festival is 99% sold out.
This year’s UNTOLD festival will take place from August 8-11 in Cluj-Napoca, where magic meets music.
With over 250 international and national artists ready to take the eight stages, UNTOLD will offer fans live acts that are firsts for a Romanian festival: Sam Smith, Lenny Kravitz, Burna Boy, as well as a lineup featuring the world’s top DJs: Martin Garrix, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Alok, Steve Aoki, Lost Frequencies, Timmy Trumpet, FISHER, Carl Cox, Solomun, Black Coffee.

Festival Wristband Pickup Schedule:
- Central Park “Simion Bărnuțiu”: August 6-7, from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM, for General Access, VIP pass holders, and DAY 1 ticket holders with online Check-in.
During the festival, wristbands can be picked up between 4:00 PM and 4:00 AM at Central Park “Simion Bărnuțiu”. This pickup point is dedicated to fans with General Access, VIP passes, or single-day tickets for each festival day.
The magical gates of the UNTOLD universe open on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at 4:00 PM. Throughout all four days and nights of festivities, access to the festival is between 4:00 PM and 5:00 AM.
