UNTOLD UNIVERSE BRINGS THE MAGIC OF THE HOLIDAY SEASON ONCE AGAIN TO THE CHRISTMAS MARKETS IN BUCHAREST AND CLUJ-NAPOCA
“Christmas Planet” awaits visitors in Unirii Square in Cluj-Napoca starting November 22, while the “West Side Christmas Market” kicks off the holidays in Bucharest on November 28.
This year, the Christmas markets in Bucharest and Cluj-Napoca will once again bear the hallmark of UNTOLD Universe. This means sparkle, color, magic, flavor, emotion, fun, and celebration. The UNTOLD charm will envelop the “West Side Christmas Market” in Sector 6, Bucharest, as well as the two locations in Cluj-Napoca: Unirii Square and the Horia Demian Sports Hall Plaza, all part of the “Christmas Planet.” Both the Bucharest and Cluj-Napoca markets promise visitors some of the most exciting entertainment experiences, including live performances by beloved local artists (Fuego, Vunk, Direcția 5, Gașca Zurli), carol evenings, surprises for children, delicious food, family-friendly activities, and, most importantly, a chance to meet Santa Claus. The first to open is the “Christmas Planet” in Unirii Square, Cluj-Napoca, on November 22, followed by the “West Side Christmas Market” in Bucharest on November 28, and finally, the Winter Fair at the Horia Demian Sports Hall Plaza on December 1.
UNTOLD Universe Brings Joy to the “West Side Christmas Market” (November 28 – December 27)
For the fourth year in a row, the park in Drumul Taberei will transform into the fairy-tale realm of the “West Side Christmas Market.” Officially opening on November 28, it will be the first Christmas market of the season in Bucharest. UNTOLD has been behind three of the four editions of the “West Side Christmas Market,” and organizers have prepared plenty of surprises for those eager to experience the Christmas spirit there. Tens of thousands of lights, colorful ornaments, storybook cottages, an Instagram-perfect Christmas tree, fairy-tale characters, enticing aromas of cinnamon and mulled wine—all will be part of this Christmas market in Sector 6. Key attractions include a panoramic wheel, an ample ice rink, a carousel and train for kids, and Santa’s House. Beloved artists like Direcția 5, Fuego, Alina Sorescu, Gașca Zurli, and other surprise guests will perform on the “West Side Christmas Market” stage.
What Surprises Do UNTOLD Universe and “Christmas Planet” Have in Store for Cluj-Napoca
For the second consecutive year, UNTOLD Universe is organizing two Christmas markets in Cluj-Napoca—one in Unirii Square and one on the Horia Demian Sports Hall Plaza—under the “Christmas Planet” concept. Between November 22 and January 1, 2025, “Christmas Planet” in Unirii Square will bring an array of surprises and attractions, including a panoramic wheel with a unique light show, a storybook carousel, and a VR sleigh ride, where visitors can take a virtual journey with Santa’s reindeer to his home in Lapland. Santa’s House will also be there, where children can take photos, meet Santa, and participate in over 20 different creative workshops. The festive atmosphere will be enhanced by the characters of “Christmas Planet”: Crăciunir, Frim, Ona, Mira, and Rexy. This year’s entertainment lineup will feature both beloved bands and well-known artists famous for traditional Christmas carols.
Under the same creative concept, “Christmas Planet” will bring the Winter Fair to the Horia Demian Sports Hall Plaza from December 1 to February 15, 2025. The Winter Fair will offer unique attractions distinct from those at the Christmas Market, interactive activities, and numerous local artisans and vendors who will fill dozens of cottages with treats. The Winter Fair will also include a large ice rink and a fairy-tale carousel. The opening on December 1 will be marked by a spectacular show featuring professional ice skaters.

Hundreds of thousands of people have visited the Christmas markets in both Bucharest and Cluj-Napoca, and organizers expect each city’s market to attract at least 1 million visitors in 2024.
