Mercedes combines elegance with technology: why the new S-Class is special
Mercedes is drawing a new direction for the sedan models of 2021. The German manufacturer came up with the S-Class, a car that perfectly combines elegance with technology. The price is, however, one to match.
With the new S-Class Mercedes, sought to maintain the elegant look of its models, but also sought to attract young customers. On board the most elegant car has captured the latest technologies for a pleasant driving experience.
The car has a generous console, the screen has adaptive three-dimensional displays, and the interface can be customized. Moreover, the driver also has dedicated audio speakers and the voice recommendations of the navigation system will resonate only in the driver’s speakers. Other innovative technologies include the parking assistant – the S-Class can park automatically even without the driver on board.
The Germans claim that it is the first S-Class with an aerodynamic coefficient of 0.22, a record in the segment and an invariant indicator for a sedan of this size. The S 450 and S 500 petrol engines have a 3.0-liter 6-cylinder unit and EQ Boost micro-hybrid system under the hood. The versions deliver 367 and 450 hp, respectively. The latter can propel the sedan up to 100 km / h in just 4.9 seconds. For diesel enthusiasts, the S 350 d, S 350 d 4MATIC and S 400 d versions will be available. They have a similar volume of 3.0 liters and 6 cylinders in line, being able to offer 286 and 330 hp, respectively. All engines are mated exclusively to the 9-speed automatic transmission. As said, the price is just right. The basic version starts at almost $ 110,000, and deliveries to European customers will begin in December.
