UNTOLD 2024: 97,000 Fans Celebrate Epic Opening Day

UNTOLD, the third largest festival in the world, opened the gates of its 9th edition with a wave of energy, joy, and magical moments. Over 97,000 fans from all around the world, the most famous artists, top DJs, fantastic characters, performers, and dancers celebrated together on the first day of the UNTOLD festival.

Thursday evening brought artists and DJs to the eight stages for the first time in Romania and on Cluj-Arena, inviting tens of thousands of fans to discover the experiences offered by the creators of UNTOLD.

One of the most anticipated moments on the mainstage was Louis Tomlinson’s performance, who was on the UNTOLD mainstage for the first time. The British artist resonated perfectly with his fans. “Just Hold On” and “Back to You,” the songs that climbed the charts in the UK and the US, turned Cluj-Arena into a place of genuine emotions.

Louis Tomlinson gave UNTOLD fans a live show that included songs from his latest album, “LIVE,” released in April of this year, and even a track from One Direction. “Walls” and “Two of Us” were sung by fans at the mainstage, and Louis excitedly declared, “UNTOLD is truly special, thank you! The energy of this place is something unique.”

With a live show that featured his best-known hits, “Little Bit of Love” and “Found What I’ve Been Looking For,” British artist Tom Grennan presented songs from his upcoming studio album to UNTOLD fans for the first time.

He is one of the artists who has captivated fans worldwide with emotionally charged performances, and UNTOLD fans, in turn, moved the British artist. “You are an amazing audience; these songs you’re hearing exclusively at UNTOLD are my way of thanking you for being here!”

IRINA RIMES WAS INVITED ON STAGE BY STEVE AOKI

Steve Aoki, a DJ who has been part of the UNTOLD story for all nine editions, took the mainstage once again with a memorable live set.

“UNTOLD is my home away from home, and sharing this track with you was a special moment. Out of love for the fans here, I wanted to work with a Romanian artist. This is my first collaboration with Romania, and I made this remix for Irina Rimes’ “Dudadu” out of love for Romania.”

Aoki’s energy took the fun to the next level on the first day of UNTOLD. The DJ had cakes specially prepared for the famous “Cake Me!” moment.

CARGO’S SONG “DACĂ PLOAIA S-AR OPRI” PLAYED ON THE UNTOLD MAINSTAGE

Timmy Trumpet, the Australian who ranks 6th in the Top 100 DJs, generated incredible euphoria on the mainstage of the UNTOLD festival. The DJ, who found the perfect combination of a high-energy DJ set and his favorite instrument, the trumpet, told fans that they are like “family” to him. In his set, he included a Romanian song by Cargo, “Dacă ploaia s-ar opri.”

Purple Disco Machine, appearing for the first time at Cluj-Arena, was eagerly awaited by UNTOLD fans. The German DJ prepared a set that included songs that topped international charts as well as new productions from his upcoming album “Paradise,” set to be released in September.

The first day of the UNTOLD festival ended at sunrise on Cluj-Arena with Blasterjaxx. The UNTOLD experience on the mainstage was completed by Partydul Kiss FM and Irina Rimes.

Artists at Galaxy, Alchemy, Daydreaming, Fortune, Time, Tram, and Retro stages gathered tens of thousands of fans on the first day of UNTOLD.

The Alchemy stage was specially created for fans of rap, trap, breakbeat, and dubstep. Grasu XXL, Guess Who, HVNDS, Satoshi, Petre Ștefan, Yny Sebi, Memphis & Blocksberg, Faust, and Bad & Boujee lit up one of the most beloved stages of the festival.

UNTOLD offers musical diversity at every edition, and the underground techno culture has its own stage at the festival. On the first day of the UNTOLD experience, the Galaxy stage hosted the biggest names in underground culture: Black Coffee, Carl Cox alongside Prâslea, Marwan Dua, and Akos.

Tonight, the UNTOLD Mainstage will feature the most anticipated live show of this year’s edition with rock legend Lenny Kravitz.

Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Alok, Lost Frequencies, Vama, Zerb, and Almud are the names that will excite fans at Cluj-Arena on the second day of the festival.

Access to the festival begins at 4:00 PM.

Organizers have already started preparations for next year’s edition when the UNTOLD festival will celebrate its 10th anniversary. This special event will bring even more magic, surprises, and memorable moments for all participants.

To mark this special occasion, UNTOLD creators will start selling the first passes for the 2025 edition starting Saturday, August 10, 2024, at 10:00 PM.
