First wave of artists at Untold Festival 2022
A long-awaited moment for fans of one of the biggest music festivals in the world has arrived. UNTOLD organizers are announcing the first artists to take to the main stage of the festival this year between August 4th and 7th. Some of them come to Romania to UNTOLD for the first time.
David Guetta, Don Diablo, G-Eazy, Kygo, Major Lazer, Morten, Oliver Heldens, Paul Kalkbrenner LIVE and Tujamo are part of the seventh story from the magical realm created for 4 days and 4 nights in Cluj-Napoca. They are joined by Above & Beyond and the British artist Anne-Marie, a premiere for our country.
One of the most appreciated and awaited artists, Kygo, is preparing a special show for UNTOLD. The Norwegian DJ and producer is the one who laid the foundations of a new style in electronic music, tropical house, to which he added his favorite instrument, the piano.
MAJOR LAZER, WILL HAVE THE FIRST SHOW IN ROMANIA, AT UNTOLD 2022
A premiere for Romania, at the UNTOLD festival, is Major Lazer (“soundsystem”), an electronic music project consisting of Diplo, Jillionaire and Walshy Fire. The foundations of this unique collaboration were laid by the American DJ and producer Diplo, and as a style, the band’s music is a fusion of genres between reggae and dancehall, with elements of dance and electro house. The American publication Billboard included the Major Lazer project in the ranking of the top 100 artists in the dance spectrum.
Another premiere at the UNTOLD festival is Morten, the Danish DJ and producer, one of the most active artists in electronic music. The WeRaveYou publication included him in the list of artists who generated a change in the spectrum of electronic music. The FUTURE RAVE project, in which he collaborates with the world’s number 1 DJ, David Guetta, has changed the dynamics in electronic production, the songs released under this name managing to dominate the charts dedicated to electronic music production.
G-Eazy is coming to Romania for the second time, after performing on the Neversea festival stage 3 years ago. He describes his musical style as a combination of 1950s culture and contemporary rap sound. To achieve the success he enjoys, G-Eazy sold everything and started making music.
Among the first artists announced for this years edition is also ANNE-MARIE, her first time playing on a romanian stage will be this year in Cluj-Napoca. British soloist Anne-Marie has four British Awards nominations, including Best British Female Solo Artist, and since 2021 has been on the jury of The Voice UK.
Above & Beyond are preparing for their first show at UNTOLD. Jono Grant, Tony McGuiness and Paavo Siljamäki are the three Britons behind the most respected trance project. Their first album, “Tri-State” from 2005, was listed as “BRILLIANT” and received 5 out of 5 stars from DJ Mag. From trance-oriented productions to acoustic albums, Above & Beyond covered everything, and in 2016 and 2018 they were nominated for Grammy Awards in the Best Dance Recording category.
Don Diablo, Oliver Heldens and Tujamo complete the line-up for the main stage of one of the largest music festivals in the world.
The Galaxy scene, the techno house of the UNTOLD festival, also has premiere artists: Ann Clue, Reinier Zonneveld (LIVE) and Richie Hawtin. These big names in the techno world are joined by Jamie Jones B2B Loco Dice and the famous Boris Brejcha, who has created his own minimal high-tech music genre. Other artists will be announced soon.
After the month of February, General Access Basic subscriptions will be € 149 + taxes, and Risk-Free subscriptions € 159 + taxes. The VIP ones will remain at the same price, € 340 + taxes. Those who already have ANYTIME subscriptions can choose to participate in this year’s edition.
The UNTOLD festival is enjoying an expansion of national media partnerships, so in addition to the already traditional media partners, PRO TV (VOYO), KISS FM and REPUBLICA, starting this year also officially joins Digi24, the television with the highest growth of audience in the country, but also DigiFM, the radio with the largest coverage in Romania.
