The Untold story is about to begin
Yesterday took place the last press conference, before the beginning of the most awaited event of this month, untold festival, an event that will take place between the 30th of July and the 2nd of August. This conference was attended by Bogdan Buta – Festival Director, Emil Boc – the mayor of Cluj-Napoca, Mihai Seplecan – President of the County Council, Tudor Grindean – Commander of County’s Police Inspectorate, Marcel Bontidean – the Municipal Police Commander, Florinel Budişan – the representative of Gendarmerie, Ioan Moldovan – Chief Inspector at the Inspectorate for Emergency Situations, Vlad Pop – the President of Share Federation, Oana Mateescu – Ursus representative, Adrian Chereji – representative of Untold Marketing & Community Festival dept.
The main access area will be the alley from Central Park with the entrance from the Hungarian Opera building. Secondary access will be on G. Cosbuc Street from the intersection with Cardinal Iuliu Hossu Street and the entry access for persons with disabilities and VIP will be made from Uzinei Electrice Street, near the Multipurpose Hall. For emergency situations, special areas were created in order to get in the festival access area and Splaiul Independentei Street, an area which will be closed during the festival in order to allow the exit from the festival and for emergencies, or to allow the evacuation if an exceptional situation demands it.
Traffic restrictions:
G. Coşbuc Street from Splaiul Independentei Street to the intersection of Cardinal Iuliu Hossu Street starting from 11:00 p.m. on the 28th of July until 08:00am on the 3rd of August.
Splaiul Independentei Street from Garibaldi Bridge to Napoca Bridge, from the 28th of July at 11:30 p.m. until the 4th of August at 04:30 a.m., except for trams so: they will run on the 29th of July with normal program, in the 30th of July will run between 05:00 a.m. – 06:00 p.m. Friday will run until 05:00 p.m., and on weekends trams will not run at all. During the period when trams will not run, they will be replaced by buses and their route will be diverted on Garibaldi Bridge, Piata 14 Iulie, Dragalina Street, and then will come back on Horea Street. The circulation of trams will return to their normal program during the day of Monday.
There will be partial restrictions in Central Park area to ensure the safety of citizens. Among these restricted areas, there are: G. Coşbuc Street, Cardinal Iuliu Hossu Street, Splaiul Independentei Street, The building of University of Art and Design, the Casino building, from 11:00 p.m. on the 29th of July until 03:00 a.m. on the 3rd of August.
Public transportation will be provided for 24 hours during the festival. Town hall provides to the citizens and participants of the event, buses to transport them from one corner of the city to another.

line 46 (Cartierul Zorilor – Piata Mihai Viteazul)
line 25 (Bucium Street – Unirii Street)
line 30 (BLV. 1 Dec. – Aurel Vlaicu Street)
Line M21 line (Cetatea Fetei Floreşti – Bucium Street) – it will only run from 30 to 30 minutes.
Buses will run from 15 to 15 minutes until 03:00 a.m., and between 03:00 a.m. – 05:00 a.m., from 10 to 10 minutes. The Hall promises to supplement the buses if necessary.
Tickets can be purchased from the ticket kiosks, bus drivers, or via SMS. The SMS ticket service can not be accessed from Roaming. For foreign friends who come from abroad, try to encourage them not to use the SMS ticket service.
Parking will provide approximately 6000 seats, in four different locations. The parking locations are:
• The flea market from Mărăşti, Campina Street;
• Cora-Sun near the Sun resort;
• ExpoTransilvania in Mărăşti;
• Palacsay Camping.
The prices in these parking lots are 10 lei during the festival. To these parking lots are added the parking lots the city owns. There will be road signs for directing people to the nearest parking lot.
In a range of 40 km there can’t be found accommodation for the festival. Almost every inhabitant of the city has guests or has rented the apartment to host this event. The student dormitories were turned into cheap hotels for tourists.
The event is assumed by all authorities, a pride event of the city which will bring huge benefits to the community.
Estimated figures at this moment of what’s going to happen:

• Over 50,000 people in the main area of the festival, plus the number added from Piata Unirii

• the accommodation provided is the camping from Palacsay orchard and the campus of students
• More than 170 artists, including premieres in Romania
• bars over 300m lenght
• 700 toilets
• 2 generators over 1000kWatts
• Over 122 speakers
• over 500sqm video screen
There are announced four days with music, a lot of positive experience waiting to be received by the participants at the event. The event promises to be a unique one in town, it would be a shame to find out that it will be poorly received by the community of the city, even if the traffic in the city will be blocked for 4 days. On the other hand, we can only hope that while the bars are assembled, we will not drink beer kept too much in the sun and the catering area will be well assembled without flying away at the first wind.
Preparations are almost complete, and the festival looks phenomenal at this moment. Hopefully, all the surprises prepared will bring more visibility abroad.
Weather will probably be the only thing that can’t be controlled, but hopefully the clouds will not cause inconvenience for organizers and for the participants of the festival. People already are familiar with cloaks and boots from other festivals.
