Chase & Status, Mahmut Orhan, Netsky, Valeron, Shimza, GORDO, Wilkinson, Dub FX feat. Woodnote, and Grigoré are the first artists announced for the most anticipated winter festival, Massif.

The Massif Festival, the newest and most anticipated entertainment concept in the mountains of Romania, announces the first artists who will arrive in Poiana Brașov, from March 14th to 17th, 2024. The organizers are determined to transform this mountain destination into the ideal place for all those seeking memorable experiences.

For the second edition, the Massif organizers are taking a bold approach, combining the coolest mountain activities with a diversity of musical genres. Following the first announcement, the stages of the Massif festival will host Chase & Status, Mahmut Orhan, Netsky, Valeron, Shimza, GORDO, Wilkinson, Dub FX feat. Woodnote, and Grigoré. Alongside them, the most acclaimed Romanian artists join the lineup, such as Puya, CTC, Deliric x Silent Strike, Dirty Nano, Grasu XXL, HVNDS, Șuie Paparude, and The HollyGood Gang.

Chase & Status, one of Britain’s successful bands of the past decades, has enjoyed global recognition and garnered millions of fans. The band was formed in 2003, and members Saul Milton (Chase) and Will Kennard (Status) managed to conquer the music scene with hits like “Time,” “End Credits,” or the successful collaboration with Tom Grennan, “All Goes Wrong.” Transforming their passion for rave culture into a remarkable career, they have built an impressive portfolio that includes explosive live shows and projects that have established them as an iconic band internationally.

Mahmut Orhan is a DJ and producer of Turkish origin. His international success came with the instrumental track “Age of Emotions” in 2015, and his popularity grew in 2016 with the hit “Feel,” in collaboration with Sena Şener, which dominated music charts in several countries, including Romania. Mahmut Orhan continued to attract attention with the remix of “Game of Thrones” or the song “Save Me” alongside the Romanian artist Eneli. Since then, the Turkish artist has gone viral on TikTok, accumulating over 42 million views on a single video, and his songs have millions of shares from internet users worldwide.

From being nominated in the category of “Best Upcoming Producer” at the Drum & Bass Arena Awards, just a few months after his first release in 2010, to receiving the honor of being chosen as the musical ambassador of the Belgian Olympic team and receiving the 2015 Flemish Cultural Award for music, becoming the first DJ and producer to receive this recognition, Netsky continues to climb effortlessly in the international rankings.

Australian Dub FX, an artist who has become known worldwide for his extremely creative way of combining hip-hop, reggae, and drum and bass rhythms, will not be alone on the G.O.A.T. stage. Alongside him on stage will be one of the most creative saxophonists in the world, British Mr. Woodnote.

Shimza is undoubtedly one of the most talented artists from South Africa. The artist has transitioned from being an aspirant in the music industry to a respected artist on the global afro house scene. In recent years, the album “Shimuzic,” as well as numerous collaborations and singles such as “African Woman” and “Akulalwa,” have established Shimza as one of the leading house music producers in South Africa.

GORDO, previously known as Carnage, is a DJ, producer, and former rapper. His career under the stage name “Carnage” began in 2012, and his notable collaborations have included tracks like “The Underground” and the album “Papi Gordo.” In 2021, the artist chose a new alias, “Gordo,” and released the single “KTM.” Since then, he has adopted a sound oriented towards house and techno, transitioning from trap and bass.

Wilkinson, the British drum and bass DJ and producer, gained international recognition after the release of his debut album titled “Lazers Not Included” in 2013. His distinct style, blending drum and bass elements with pop and electronic influences, has garnered him a large fan base and critical acclaim.

Valeron is recognized as the most esteemed DJ from the island of Mykonos, bringing an extra flavor to the local music scene with his deep house and electronic melodies. He became the founder of the production house Bercana Music and released two albums, “Amare” and “Aigaio.” What sets Valeron apart is how he blends traditional Greek instruments with electronic rhythms. Through his contributions, Valeron brings a fresh and innovative breath to the musical landscape of Mykonos, creating a unique link between Greek tradition and modern electronic sounds.

Grigoré is an up-and-coming artist in the deep & melodic house genre. With varied influences, Grigoré delivers a unique musical experience and manages to assert himself with each release he makes.
