Premiere: International Magic Competition Comes to Romania’s Largest Family Festival
Illusionists and magicians from six countries will perform spectacular acts among the crowd at Wonder Family Fest

Wonder Family Fest, Romania’s largest festival dedicated to families, will host the ASTRALIS International Magic Festival in Cluj-Napoca this year, marking its return after nearly a decade. The comeback also signifies the festival’s inclusion in the global circuit of magic competitions organized under the patronage of FISM, the world’s most prestigious organization dedicated to the art of illusion.
From July 31 to August 2, visitors will step into a world where the impossible becomes possible through magic shows, interactive performances, and demonstrations by some of today’s most acclaimed illusionists. Access to all International Magic Festival events is included with a Wonder Family Fest ticket or festival pass, available on the festival’s official website.
Contestants from Italy, Germany, Spain, Poland, Bulgaria, and Romania will compete for the prestigious ASTRALIS Trophy.

Street Magic Throughout Wonderland Resort
On Saturday and Sunday, August 1–2, visitors will enjoy open-air street magic performances, where illusionists will interact directly with audiences and perform astonishing tricks among the festival crowds.
The highlight of the weekend will take place on August 2, when Wonder Family Fest’s Main Stage hosts the ASTRALIS International Magic Gala, where the competition finalists will perform before an international jury and thousands of spectators. The winner of the ASTRALIS Trophy will be announced at the end of the gala.
A Competition Recognized by FISM
The International Magic Festival was first organized in 2014 by Mario Dance Atelier, in partnership with Iluzionist Shop, represented by magician Dan Bucfing. The event was created to establish Romania as a destination for excellence in the art of illusion and quickly became an important gathering for both audiences and professional magicians. Since the 2016 edition, the festival has established itself as an international event.
The 2026 edition marks a historic milestone, as it becomes part of the official FISM international competition circuit, joining some of the world’s most prestigious magic festivals and championships.
The competition’s prestige is further highlighted by its distinguished jury, which includes two of the most respected figures in the global magic community:

The Festival That Brings Generations Together
Wonder Family Fest’s 2026 lineup features international and Romanian artists including Fantomel & Kate Linn (“Dame un GRR”), OMERIT (Baha Men), performer of the Grammy-winning hit “Who Let the Dogs Out”, Boney M. Xperience, Kaoma with the iconic “Lambada”, as well as Rareș, Iuliana Beregoi, Gașca Zurli, Horia Brenciu, Familia Melimi, Alina Sorescu, Geo Da Silva, DJ Emil Lassaria, Theo Zeciu, Daniel Cafeluță, Dorian Popa, and Mircea Bravo.
This year’s edition also introduces several new themed experiences, including RemediumLand, where medical specialists will provide health consultations and advice for the entire family; the Vel Pitar zone, combining freshly baked bread with interactive “Bakery & Fun” activities; and the Romfulda experience, celebrating authentic dairy traditions through family-friendly attractions.
Wonder Family Fest is Romania’s first festival built entirely around the concept of family, bringing together parents, children, teenagers, and grandparents in an immersive environment dedicated to entertainment and relaxation. Held at Wonderland Resort, the festival combines modern infrastructure, diverse attractions, and a unique atmosphere, creating a vacation-like experience rather than a traditional event. The 2025 edition attracted nearly 60,000 visitors.
