The Art of Being a Rockstar Taught on Day 3 of Electric Castle 2025
Different generations, same spirit: great music is made with passion and authenticity. On Friday night, Queens of The Stone Age took to the main stage at Electric Castle to deliver a masterclass in what it means to be a rock legend. Now, on Saturday—Day 3 of Electric Castle 2025—it’s the new generation’s turn to prove the legacy lives on: Yungblud, the Gen Z rock idol, headlines the festival, joined by Justice and Rudimental.
“You have to believe that music is your mission, that you simply can’t see yourself doing anything else. Today, when it’s so hard to make a living as a young artist, when independent festivals are struggling more and more, your only chance at success is passion. You can pretend to be a rockstar—many do—but that doesn’t mean you are one,” said Josh Homme, frontman of Queens of The Stone Age, during Friday’s press conference at the castle. Proof of their authenticity? The QOTSA show drew tens of thousands of passionate fans to the main stage, living the full rock concert ritual—from heavy riffs to mosh pits to shared joy.
More than 64,000 fans made their way to Bonțida on Friday to experience performances from QOTSA and dozens of other artists.
Today, the spirit of rebellion continues with Yungblud, who brings punk energy and emotionally charged lyrics to Electric Castle, whether he’s addressing political issues or the identity struggles of a new generation. Meanwhile, the seasoned acts Rudimental and Justice offer the power of decades-long careers, chart-topping hits, Grammy wins, and a legacy that helped shape drum and bass and electro house as we know them.
Also making a festival debut from the Romanian stage is Omul cu Șobolani, launching a special new single, Evoluția de catifea, in collaboration with Erika Isac. It marks a stylistic shift for OCS, veterans of the Electric Castle lineup. Other Romanian artists in Saturday’s program include Grasu XXL, Bosquito, and Mihail.
